Hail-No Caesar
Classic Caesar this is not. But, like the classic, we do start with romaine and build up. Heavy on the creative crouton aspect, we think you will have fun with this salad, which is a meal-in-itself. Add a bit of color contrast and bite to your salad by including some lovely, bitter, chopped treviso or radicchio.

Ingredients:
Salad
organic romaine lettuce
treviso or radicchio (optional)
white carrots
avocado
spicy kale chips
Trader Joe's sesame sticks
seeded parmesan crisps
toasted pecans
Dressing
organic olive oil
white balsamic vinegar
lemon
sea salt
nutritional yeast flakes
Bragg liquid aminos
Recipe:
Chop romaine, wash, spin, and place in a bowl or on a plate. If using radicchio, wash a few leaves and shred or chiffonade, adding them to your greens. Slice carrots in quarter-inch rounds, then cut them in half. Add carrots to salad greens. Score a sliced and pitted avocado and scoop chunks on top of the salad. Dust some spicy kale chips over your salad. Add a crumbled, seeded, or plain, parmesan crisp, and some sesame sticks to your mix. Finish with toasted pecans.
Create your dressing right on the salad. Add equal drizzles of organic olive oil and white balsamic vinegar. Squeeze a little lemon over your salad and add some organic sea salt flakes. Dust everything with nutritional yeast flakes and finish with a spritz or two of Bragg liquid aminos.
